Il
25 settembre
è scomparso John M. Ford. Destinato
a un
trapianto di rene, Ford è stato sofferente per molti anni
per le complicazioni
dovute al diabete. A noi meglio
noto come l’autore del libro “The Final
reflection”,
è stato uno scrittore apprezzato e poliedrico, che ha
pubblicato diversi romanzi spaziando tra differenti generi dalla
fantascienza
al fantasy, ottenendo prestigiosi premi letterari. |

Autore
di
romanzi, ma anche appassionato creatore di giochi, e scrittore di
novelle, ha
contribuito alla stesura delle regole base del Klinzha, così
come viene giocato
in America. Regole dalle quali siamo partiti per elaborare la versione
attualmente presentata da I.K.S. Purtroppo in Italia sono stati pubblicati soltanto alcuni suoi racconti, i suoi romanzi sono disponibili sul mercato internazionale in lingua inglese. |

| Proprio in “The final reflection” viene citato per la prima volta il gioco del Klinzha, presentato nella sua versione originale “live”, il Klinzha Kinta, giocato con klingon armati al posto delle pedine, e con combattimenti corpo a corpo all’ultimo sangue, nel pieno dello Spirito Klingon che John Ford apprezzava. |
